Safe Drinking Water Through Borehole Projects

Providing Access to Safe Drinking Water Through Borehole Projects
In addition to our sanitation and community development projects, Open Door Community Outreach Center has also undertaken several borehole construction projects in underserved communities across Ghana.

Access to clean and safe drinking water remains a major challenge for many rural communities, forcing families—especially women and children—to travel long distances in search of water, often relying on unsafe water sources.

As part of our mission to improve living conditions and promote healthier communities, we have successfully built boreholes in selected communities, including Atibie Nkwanta in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

These boreholes now provide residents with reliable access to clean drinking water, helping to:

Reduce waterborne diseases caused by contaminated water

Improve hygiene and sanitation practices

Save time and energy spent traveling long distances to fetch water

Support healthier families and stronger communities

The impact of these projects goes beyond providing water; they restore dignity, improve public health, and create a better quality of life for entire communities.

At Open Door Community Outreach Center, we believe that access to clean water is a basic human need, and we remain committed to reaching more communities with life-changing projects such as boreholes, sanitation facilities, healthcare support, and youth empowerment programs.
